Silvana Guglielmetti, Clinical Counsellor

Raised and trained in Argentina, she studied Music Therapy and developed a strong interest in somatic approaches that explore the connection between the body, brain, and emotional well-being. After immigrating to Canada in 2003, she spent many years working with newcomers, refugees, and diverse communities in both clinical and community settings, gaining a deep understanding of resilience, identity, and belonging.

She later completed a Master’s degree in Counselling at the University of Melbourne, specializing in Narrative Therapy and community-based practice. By integrating somatic and narrative approaches, she helps clients make sense of their experiences, process personal history, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

Her work is shaped by her Latin American roots, lived experience of immigration, and extensive experience supporting diverse communities. She believes that mental health is a lifelong investment in well-being and approaches therapy with curiosity, respect, and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth.
